Message Points PDF Print E-mail

Don’t be vague in your message. If you have a point to make, do it clearly and directly in the first one or two sentences of the article.

Your customers are busy and want to know right up front if what they are about to read pertains to them. Give them the “meat” right away. ImageIf they are able to get the benefit of your message without reading the entire article, you’ve done them a service and they will be grateful for it. Don’t worry about forcing the reader to read the entire story. This is about them, not you.

Whenever possible use bulleted lists of items to clarify your points. Getting your message across in as few words as possible is a skill and is appreciated by your readers. They are just as busy as you are.
